About Us

About Sacred Heart Parish Griffith

At Sacred Heart Parish, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community where all are embraced by the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our parish is located in the beautiful city of Griffith, and we are honored to serve the faithful in this vibrant and diverse area.

Our History
Sacred Heart Parish was established in 1921 and has been an integral part of the Griffith community ever since. Over the years, our parish has grown in size and spirit, nurturing generations of Catholics and fostering a deep sense of faith, fellowship, and service.

Our Mission
At the heart of our mission is the commitment to live out the Gospel message in our daily lives. We seek to deepen our relationship with God through vibrant worship, engaging religious education, and active participation in the sacraments. We are dedicated to serving others, following the example of Jesus Christ, and spreading His love and compassion to those in need.

Faith Formation
We believe that lifelong learning is essential for growing in our faith. Our parish offers a comprehensive faith formation program for all ages, including religious education classes, sacramental preparation, and adult faith formation opportunities. Through these programs, we seek to deepen our understanding of Catholic teachings and traditions, enabling us to live as faithful disciples in the modern world.
